Downtown Kalamazoo --- The Bureau officially opened its doors today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the commercial offices located above Morrison Jewelers in Downtown Kalamazoo. Mayor Bobby Hopewell and representatives from a number of organizations, including DKI (Downtown Kalamazoo Inc.) were on hand to celebrate.
Attendees were treated to start up company success stories from Kalamazoo's Start up Weekend winners who continue their entrepreneurship in the area.
Act Naturally Studios, Producer, Dominick Gladstone was please with the response from all who watched the Bureau's premiere video on the value of collaboration in the creative process.

Kalamazoo Event Photography -- The 50th Annual Holiday Parade was this past weekend in Downtown Kalamazoo and Act Naturally Studios event photographer Dominick Gladstone was there.

The weather was outstanding as hundreds of people lined the streets of downtown to see the parade. There was also an after-party to celebrate the parade's birthday with cake and games for the kids on the Kalamazoo Mall.

Chrome is Google's web browser product. So far in my test run, it seems faster and is fairly easy to use after a little "getting to know you" time.

I would recommend giving it a try...once you Chrome...you may never go home... to IE that is.

These are my thoughts about the "new" Facebook. And by the way the site is not working correctly.

...ok we all need to be adaptable to change, because change is constant. That being said, we all love improvements...right? "New & Improved" sells.
Now that being said, What is UP with FB??

It would be "nice" if the programmers/tech people did a little simple usability study...by asking "us" the people who use this wonderful service what we would think about some changes...don't you think?
It is NOT fun to have just taught a seminar on how to use Facebook to a bunch of new Facebookers -- only to log on and find out that all the navigation has changed...What???

I am pretty tech savy...and I would say that the new design is a bit more confusing...especially for new users. And some people have not even seen the new design yet??

And some of the new stuff is NOT working correctly?? What??
Attn Facebook Management-- Ask "us" your users what we think...we are your best focus group.

Check out the Kohler website -- the kitchen and bath people -- who have obviously spent $$$ creating a great website with great visuals...and they ask their users to fill out a survey about their experience and tell Kohler how to make things better...go figure...

Television executives are really missing the boat. I have been searching for an online broadcast of the Kennedy Center Honors 2009 and cannot find the entire show, only clips.
The networks had better get on board with today's marketplace or be left in the dust. Your viewers are online, not in front of a television set.

Dominick Gladstone shot portraits and team pictures for both teams. ANS also put together special collages for Cheerleaders and Dance team members who ordered them. Downtown Kalamazoo, MI Photography-- The Star Building in downtown Kalamazoo does it again with another fantastic event. They hosted a Motown themed Art Hop for the kids. The event featured artists from various schools in the Kalamazoo area producing their favorite Motown themed artwork.
The event also featured a special guest appearance by Sonya Bernard-Hollins, Author/Publisher of "Here I Stand" a Motown history featuring musical artists from all around West Michigan.
